When Water Mimosa needs to stay afloat to compete for light, it will develop a white spongy sheath around its trunk called aerenchyma - acting as natural flotation! When it needs to compete for nutrients, Water Mimosa will grow pretty Pink Coral Roots for absorption from water column & to reach the bottom!
