Antique Victorian Sterling Stamped Boudoir Nail Buffer Circa 1850-1899. Scrolling Repousse Victorian Patterns, Sterling Stamp Pic 3,. Measures 3.75 x 1.25 x 2 No Tears to the buffing pad. No dents. Lovely for your Vintage Décor. Wonderful Patina. I believe it is the Gorham mark - is actually marked in several places. The #10 - Sterling - a circle with umbrella like symbol kind of like the woman symbol. Then finally to the extreme left is the Lion Anchor and a script G which would date it somewhere between 1859 and 1899. Considering this piece is in remarkable shape. I left the patina alone as some prefer that look - if not will need a good rub. It has a very heavy handle and the entire piece weighs 62.4 grams. Lovely vanity piece. Only one I have.
*Got an update from a lovely seller: It is Gorham - The pattern is Strasbourg and was patented in 1897. This nail buffer was part of a set made in 1920's
