So the 1950's was a cool heneration for a lot of things, but Westerns and Clowns really seemed to have a Heyday back then. In fact, I am digging the h3ll out of Gunsmoke and this clown cookie jar, at the moment. Its metal with a plastic lid and all in excellent condition. Manufactured by Decoware, a well collected but now defunct company that specialized in tin containers with some gorgeous patterns.
