This authentic early 1900s woven textile features a bold Wash & Lee design from a rare series of tobacco advertising premiums. Often called cigarette silks or tobacco rugs, these cotton tapestry-style inserts were issued as collectible rewards by tobacco companies between 19051915. This piece is exceptionally rare and still retains rich colors and clean weave structure. Likely machine-woven cotton with silky fringe. Shows light age wear but no major flaws. A beautiful piece of Americana for framing or display.
