Presented for sale today is one antique hand-painted Royal Bayreuth dish for nuts, celery, vegetables, or trinkets. It measures about 7-1/2" long and about 4" wide. This dish is a rare find; made between 1902 to 1915.
The dish is beautifully decorated with a large gold encrusted band, pink roses and scalloped rim. Pink roses are scattered everywhere, inside and outside. The dish has a raised base around the bottom which is also painted with gold on the scalloped edges of the base.
Check the photos; they don't do this dish the justice it deserves. There are no cracks or crazing, but some of the gold gilt along the rim is slightly worn on this dish, which measures about 7-1/2" long and about 4" wide. The gold is in remarkable condition for the age of this plate. Someone must have loved these dearly.
Marked with Blue Double Lion with Shields of Royal Bayreuth. This mark was only used from 1902 to 1915. Pattern Code: ROB34
