VERY Rare authentic Tibetan Teapot from an estate of a couple who traveled to the Himalayas in the 30's and 40's. The pot is inlaid with glass turquoise color stones and depicts special protective and auspicious mythical creatures such as a dragon at its spout, Buddhas, snakes, a ram's head at the handle and more. It is large and can still be used.
All hand made and hand hammered: in all my 35 years of trade, I have never seen another except in historical books. Museum piece.
It measures: 17 tall X 12 from handle to spout. It's a bit heavy at almost 4 lbs.
