This listing is for a fairly small, beautifully crafted vintage jewelry/trinket box. The box appears to be hand painted in majolica/overglaze technique, however, the clay underneath is white in color (traditionally, majolica is applied on red terracotta). Love the intricate floral/vine motif is skillfully applied not only on the exterior of the lid, but also on the interior. This would make a lovely gift to someone who appreciates vintage items.
The box measures about 1 1/2 x 4 3/8 x 3” and it is in great vintage condition. Original store sticker still attached on the bottom. Artisan signed.
