This is a beautiful Victorian vintage antique brass picture button features Fanny Davenport with a parasol and apple. The button is stamped brass, pierced over a darkened metal background and in a gold color. This item is perfect for collectors of vintage buttons and would make a great addition to any collection.
The button is named for a supposed likeness to the English actress Fanny Davenport from 1870 to 1898.
It is shown on page 384, plate 157-22, in The Big Book of Buttons (BBB). It measures exactly 1.464” (37.18 mm) in diameter and it comes from a smoke free, pet free environment.
