This is an amazing looking vintage piece by Baldwin and Made In America.It’s a Williamsburg Figural Solider crafted in Solid Brass originally to be used as a Doorstop.This is the large and heavy version of this item designed to hold a door in place but it could also be used on a Shelf as a decor piece.I will also be listing the smaller versions of the same design that were intended to be used as Bookends.Notice the hat design on these figures as they were intentionally made this way to be hung up on a hook nearby when not in use.Please see all pictures attached for details, size, weight and condition.Please note I never attempt to clean my vintage metal offerings as most buyers prefer a little Patina that age gives them.This item overall is still very shiny with only the base needing a polish if that’s the look you like.I’ve seen these listed for as much as $150.
