Vintage Lao Dok Phikoun flower cannetille traditional Laotian necklace in nearly pure silver. This traditional Laotian jewelry is highly valued and unique to Laos. The procedure to make these pieces is intricate and can take weeks. Every little flower and ball is individually handmade, and soldered to form the traditional Dok Phikoun flower. This piece was worn and loved, and has a few issues. There are a few of the little pieces missing on some of the protrusions that are on the sides. A few of the flowers are missing a few 'petals', but they are all there. The piece is has an uneven patina, and it is very pronounced under certain light, please see photos. It could probably be removed with a professional cleaning. This piece is just lovely, and is a gorgeous piece of Laotian history.The necklace is only 15" long, so please take that into account. 3/8 wide. It could easily have an extender made to lengthen it.
