This is Aurora's 1st [Brooklyn] release of the Lockheed P-38 "Lightning" fighter in 1/48 scale [kit 99-987]. This complex kit does not have landing gear, bombs....or rivet detail. Only the 1st and 2nd issues were molded in this "baby blue"--all others were molded in a more metallic blue and then OD.
The product is a rare 1953 Brooklyn Aurora Lockheed P-38 Lightning airplane 1/48 scale model in blue color. This vintage model kit by Aurora is partially assembled and includes the aircraft set.
