This vintage cream pitcher is in the Yuan pattern by Wood & Sons, England. The decoration features stylized birds and plants and fancy cross-hatching & cartouches with flowers inside. Even the handle is decorated with flowers. All this is in a beautiful shade of blue on a bright white background. The vessel is six-sided with a bulbous shape below the neck. The R N number in the backstamp points to the years 1916-1917, but that is only an indication of when the design was created, not when the piece was made. A possible date range for this pitcher is 1940-1960. Height: 4 3/8 in.; width: 5½ in. In very good condition with no issues.
