For your consideration is this vintage novelty ashtray produced by John Wright Company of Wrightsville, PA. This piece is fashioned to resemble an cast iron skillet, but it is constructed of what feels like pewter with a black coating over it. There is a raised image of a Pennsylvanian Dutch or Amish man with a brown beard in the center wearing a red shirt and black hat, bow tie and vest. The backside is marked and reads John Wright Inc . I searched for a copyright for this piece to date it, but was unable to link it to a record. This has a pierced opening in the handle allowing the piece to be hung easily. The two spouts serve as rests for cigarettes. This is in good overall condition with some black finish loss. It has been steam cleaned to ensure that it is nice, clean and crisp for you. The piece measures 4.4 inches long x 3.2 inches wide x 0.5 inches high. Great novelty item.
