The Keitt mango is a cultivar that originated in Florida, USA. It was such a high quality mango cultivar that it was eventually named after the nursery owner, Mrs. J.N. Keitt, and is now grown commercially in several parts of the world. This is undoubteably due to its combination of super high productivity, disease resistance, and amazing fiberless fruit.
It is a late-season mango that ripens from July to September and is known for its large size, oval or oblong shape, and smooth, green skin that turns yellowish-green when fully ripe. The flesh of the Keitt mango is firm, juicy, and fiberless, with a sweet, mild flavor that is highly prized by mango lovers worldwide.
