This is a very sentimental piece to me. I created this painting during the BLM protests and during the time breaking of the Covid 19 pandemic. Here’s a bit of what this piece means to me:Her heart, mind and soul aches along with many others. She is in fear even though she is a warrior and survivor of many battles. She yearns for the day that freedom shines through. She yearns for the day that evil will be no more. She prays that all will surpass to never return. She knows it will always be present but her hope and faith never runs dry. “She”— resembles all of us who will keep pushing for what is right. “It”— resembles evil...Always choose love, love is so much stronger.
