A beautiful matched pair of early 20th-century hand-colored aquatint etchings after Huguet, each featuring sailboats at twilight with luminous reflections on the water. These works were issued by a Continental publisher, based on designs by French marine artist H. Huguet, and printed using the intaglio aquatint/etching process.
Both prints are publisher-signed “Huguet” in pencil below the image — a presentation signature typical of publisher-issued works of this period, rather than direct autographs from the artist. Each etching also shows the characteristic plate mark from intaglio printing.
Together, the pair offers a perfect balance: one in warm sunset tones, the other in cool moonlit blues.
