This 1930s' tilt hat is made of intricately knitted/woven black cording. It consists of a crown in the shape of a doughnut. At the front top there are two beautiful sprays of feathers...one is pink, and the other in blue-gray color. There is a strap made of the same cording, to hold the hat in a tilted position.Tilt hats were popular in the 1930s and 1940s. They were worn at an angle and held to the back of the head by a strap, rigid ring, elastic band beneath the hair, or a combination of these.
