The project started based on Hoshiba's vintage denim shirt.
The conversation began with the idea of creating a denim shirt with a color fade like that of vintage indigo denim.

Denim fabrics that fade with a strong denim look often have a heavy weight, while denim fabrics for shirts often have too clean a color fade.

There aren't many denim fabrics that have a weight suitable for making a shirt and also develop a good color with washing, but this time, we were able to find a fabric that combines the contradictory elements of a vintage-like uneven yarn color fade and ease of wear as a shirt.

Based on a vintage denim shirt, we thoroughly pursued the silhouette, seeking the best fit down to the millimeter, and we were uncompromising in our attention to detail in the stitching and parts.

We worked hand-in-hand with the craftsmen to achieve the ideal color fade. While it's a faded blue denim, we pursued a vintage-like texture with unevenness, adjusting the number of rubs, the type and amount of chemicals, and the timing of washing. You'll enjoy the masculine, sharp silhouette and western details, and the powerful denim expression that might make you think it's a real vintage denim.
