Authentic Meiji-era Japanese Satsuma-style vase by Kinkozan, Kyoto. This antique lidded vase features exquisite raised enamel chrysanthemum and butterfly motifs with gold detailing over a striking red-to-black gradient glaze. The base is marked “錦光山製” (Kinkozan Sei), linking it to one of the most prominent kilns of the Meiji period.
Condition: This piece has an old chip on the rim (see detailed photos). Otherwise, it’s in very good antique condition with beautiful paint and enamel retention. Lid is original and intact.
