Your made-in-the-USA heavier duty Jojug stackable containers are available now in the 'tactical' color of your choice. You don't need us to tell you why you might prefer your water storage to be in something other than bright blue or clear containers. Your application will determine the utility. ...but beyond utility, your Jojug may just look better in or on your truck, shelf, garage, or gear pile of what-if's and just-in-case's. On the utility side, the Jojug (TM) is molded heavier than what would otherwise be typical for a similar sized water storage container. The High Density PolyEthylene (HDPE) is FDA compliant (food grade in casual terms), includes UV stabilizers for extended outdoor service, and is pigmented to block most of the light that could otherwise cause mischief in a storage application. The 70mm closure (cap) has Reike (TM) style outer geometry for use with compatible wrenches (available separately) as needed. Each cap has a 3/4 NPT (National Pipe Thread - the same as any 3/4 pipe threaded fitting found in a US hardware store) center threaded bore sealed with an as-molded membrane. If you need to use the threads for custom plumbing of your application or for a dispensing valve, the membrane can be removed. We have included an extra cap with the membrane already removed for your convenience. This kit also includes a dispensing valve. The valve is a 2-part design that can be readily disassembled for cleaning. There is a soft gasket under the shoulder of the threaded portion that can be used or discarded as your application requires. This is a semi-disposable spigot that may provide years of service but is intended to be a knock-around-don't-worry-if-you-break-it-easily-replaceable-semi-disposable piece of gear. Valve gets dirty/sandy in the field? ...pull it apart, rinse it out, slide it back together, and keep going. Spares are available and sold separately if you think that you will need them. Vent nipple is not pierced.
