In nature, Boldo (Peumus boldus) grows in the central regions of Chile and Argentina. Boldo is an evergreen tree up to 7 m high, sometimes growing like a shrub. The leaves of the plant are elliptical in shape, rounded at the end, the surface of the leaves is somewhat tuberous, covered from above and below by bubble-like bulges with tiny hairs. Flowers are dioecious, in short paniculate end and axillary inflorescences.
