It helps to increase the turning torque and reduces the operating force to allow the user to use the steering wheel more flexibly. It has a depth of 2". Fitment: This steering wheel has a universal fitment; it fits 18" steering wheels. It is suitable for different types of trucks and is compatible with different models of the KW, Peterbilt, and Freightliner brands. Note: It is universally compatible; however, it needs a vehicle-specific mounting base and hub adapter (sold separately) before installation. Our 3-hole hub adapters (both B1 and B4 models) are compatible with this steering wheel.Durable Construction: This steering wheel’s outer layer is wood-made, whereas the inner layer is iron-made. It has a brown painted surface finish to provide a sleek and professional look. It has a girl pattern within the spokes. Use our 18" steering wheel cover for a sweatproof experience while using steering wheels on long journeys.Application: The steering wheel is the primary control device; it acts as the main interface between the driver and the vehicle’s steering system. It helps in directional control of the vehicle by rotating it clockwise and counterclockwise as required.InstallationPark the vehicle on a flat surface, turn off the ignition, and disconnect the batteries to avoid accidental horns or electrical shorts. Make sure the tires are facing forward/straight, not sideways, as it helps in installing the steering wheel correctly.Now, install the hub adapter (sold separately) by sliding the hub onto the steering shaft splines. Align it properly and torque it to the manufacturer’s specifications. You can now mount the new steering wheel by placing it onto the hub. Attach the horn bracket/retainer plate if included.Insert and tighten the bolts, and connect the horn wire (included) from the hub to the horn button assembly. Install the center cap and horn kit by pressing the horn button/cap into the center of the wheel.
