This complete performance valvetrain upgrade includes the Competition Cams 12-432-8 Xtreme Energy hydraulic roller camshaft, Redline Performance link-bar lifters and a billet steel double-roller timing set—designed to dramatically improve airflow, throttle response and mid-range torque in 262–400 small block engines. The 12-432-8 camshaft features .510"/.520" lift, 282°/288° advertised duration, 230°/236° duration @ .050 and a 110° lobe separation angle. These aggressive hydraulic roller specs increase valve lift and valve-open time, allowing the engine to inhale more air/fuel and exhale exhaust more efficiently. This results in stronger cylinder fill, improved mid-range torque and a faster, cleaner RPM sweep. The 110° LSA enhances scavenging and creates a crisp, mildly aggressive performance idle while maintaining good vacuum for street driving. This cam is ideal for 350, 383 and 400 SBC builds running aftermarket heads, headers, tuned carburetion/EFI, and a performance converter.
