A standard wall charger usually requires 4~5 hours of monitoring & you will never really know if a pack is fully charged or over-charged. This smart charger will peak the charge, stop charging when full, & provides a green/red led light so you never have to do any guess work. Instructions: Connect pack to output connector & plug AC power source Make sure polarity is connected correctly (Red wire is positive) Charger will detect voltage, Red LED will be on during charging When fully charged, current will reduce to trickle at 50mA, Green LED will be on Will be charging at 0.9A or 1.8A constant current Approx charging time is ~1.5hrs for 3000mAh, ~1hr for 1800mAh The charger is designed for faster charging NiCd & NiMH packs from 6 to 12V Caution: Don't charge packs w/ voltage less than 6V or voltage greater than 12V & capacity smaller than 1100mAh Pack MUST be made by high drain current cell Charger is for NiCd / NiMh type packs; NOT for Li-Polymer, Li-Mn, Li-Ion type packs (Using w/ a lipo will cause fire or serious injury) Charger is designed for indoor use only.
