The Precision Twist 5ATL long length, 118-degree conventional point, general purpose round shank drill bit made of high-speed steel (HSS) with uncoated(bright) finish. It is suitable for drilling holes to a depth up to six times the diameter of the drill size. The shank diameter is the same as the drill size. The 118-degree conventional point design is the most commonly accepted standard for drilling holes in a variety of material, such as wood, metal and synthetics. It comes with a uncoated (bright) finish helps keep costs down, yet provides acceptable performance in most situations. For drill bit sizes 1.00mm/0.0394 inch and less than 18.00mm/0.71 inches, the drills are uncoated, without any additional treatment. The bright finish facilitates chip flow in soft materials. For drill bit sizes between 19.00mm/0.7480 inches and 31.00mm/1.2205 inches, the drills have a black oxide finish.
