This lampshade is made with pride in the USA, and construction does not begin until you place your order.This shade is equipped with an European fitter. This is a special attachment type with a 1 9/16" center hole. The attachment is positioned 4.5" below the top of the lampshade. A screw-cap is removed, and the shade is positioned to rest on the flat part of the cap. Then, the cap is turned back on, holding the shade in place.Make sure of the 1 9/16" inner diameter measurement, as different measurements are possible for similar attachment types.The outside of the lamp shade has a fabric covering. The inside is a white polystyrene (white plastic). The top and bottom of this item is adorned with a 1/2" band of single fold lampshade trim. The trim is the same color as the covering.
