You'll compare these coins to the size of the threaded end of your existing aerator (or the outlet of the faucet spout itself). A Regular/Standard size aerator (aka M24 x 1 thread Male or M22 x 1 thread Female) will be roughly the diameter of a quarter Installation Guide 1. Turn the water supply off. 2. Remove the aerator if the faucet has one, or any mesh screens on the faucet exposing the faucets threads, and determine if your faucet has inner theads or outer threads 3, Internal threads M24 x1 Faucets-use the metal adapter and 2 sealing washers to connect the diverter valve to the faucet 4. External M22x1 threads Faucets-Verify the position of the washer in the faucet diverter valve. Screw the diverter valve onto your faucet until it is snug and the body of the valve will not move. Connect the Washing machine hose to the adapter. 7. With the black valve handle straight down slowly turn your water supply back on. 8. Turn the diverter handle in line with the connector for regular tap water, Turn the black handle 90 degrees perpendicular to the connector for washing machine. 10. Check for any leaks around the compression fitting and faucet threads and determine if you need wrap teflon tape or not
