Aluminum Alloy Housing: Norton closer housings are constructed of a special aluminum alloy, carefully selected to suit individual closer characteristics and operating conditions. Adjustable Spring Power: Clock-type coil spring delivers a wide range of closer power. Allows fine adjustment of closer to setting. Pinion and Crank Operation: Provides smooth transmission of power for door control through its complete opening and closing cycle. Adjustable Sweep/Closing Speed: A dual-purpose, hex-key actuated regulating valve allows independent adjustment of both sweep and latch speed. Adjustable Backset Cushion: An independent, hex-key actuated regulating valve provides an adjustable hydraulic cushion to the door opening speed toward the end of the opening cycle. Non-Hold-Open Arm: The standard closer is supplied with a non-hold-open arm. Field Reversible: The closer spring can be field reversed to accommodate the hand of the door.
