The 1113.0 MCM Finch ACSS Aluminum Conductor Steel Supported is a concentric-lay stranded conductor, crafted from round aluminum 1350-O wires and round, coated steel core wires. The steel wires are coated with a Class A coating of zinc – 5% aluminum mischmetal alloy, with other coating classes available for enhanced corrosion protection. It offers Standard, High, Extra, and Ultra High Strength steel options. ACSS conductors, preferred for specific transmission line applications, are non-homogenous and can operate up to 250°C.
