Using wrenches remove old lock assembly and fasteners, with new lock assembly in position over rungs of front and rear rails. 4. Insert lock bolt through large hole in side rail and thread nut on the bolt, align the small hole on the side rail with the hole in lock bracket. 5.Insert the small bolt provided with new lock assembly, thread the nut on the bolt, using the wrenches tighten large lock bolt and nut. Once installed, the extension ladder rope pulley kit and extension ladder lock kit work well together to get the job done. During installation, it is recommended to wear gloves to protect your hands.
