Mars Ascent Vehicle MAV from "The Martian"

Prominently featured in Ridley Scott's 2015 film 'The Martian', the Mars Ascent Vehicle (MAV) is a highly realistic spacecraft designed to transport six astronauts from Mars' surface to low orbit. The craft comprises a descent module (which also functions as a launchpad), a primary ascent stage, a smaller secondary ascent stage, and the manned capsule. In the movie, stranded astronaut Mark Watney, following NASA's instructions, removes substantial excess weight, including spare astronaut couches, control panels, window hatches, and the docking module, to achieve the necessary speed to meet the 'Hermes' mothership during its improvised slingshot maneuver around Mars. Miniatures are supplied unpainted and assembly may be required.
