The Heinkel He 111, a German aircraft secretly designed by the Günter brothers in the early 1930s, initially posed as a transport plane but was actually a swift medium bomber for the Luftwaffe. Although upgraded, it became obsolete late in the war and was eventually used for logistics. Post-war, its design lived on in the Spanish CASA 2.111.
