This is an aluminum sand stake, typically used to anchor a raft or small boat on a sand beach. Many of the wilderness rivers are now requiring that sand stakes be used to protect riparian vegetation. Its slim profile and angled cut allow this to be driven with a rubber mallet. The Tye Works Sand Stake is a full 24" long and constructed of 2" by 2" 6061 aluminum angle. The top few inches in reinforced to a full 1/4" thick. Two 3/4" diameter holes are drilled in the flanges, and a short rope loop is provided to simplify clipping in or tying off a painter. All exposed corners are rounded off to minimize wear. This is a simple economical sand stake and will last for years.
- Light weight 6061 aluminum with a reinforced top. Drive into sand with a rubber mallet.
- Sand stakes provide a mooring point for rafts and boats that does not damage riparian vegetation.
- (2) 3/4 inch holes with a grab loop to help pull it out.
- 24" long with a steeply angled point allows it to easily driven into sand.
