The step section of the 460PS measures 24" (l) x 4" (w), and its hitch shaft is compatible with any pre-installed 2" hitch receiver. The complete dimensions of the step section are 24" (l) x 4" (w). Its hitch section fits into any 2" receiver with the included hitch pin and clip securing it into place. The hitch section has three adjustable settings that allow it to lock into place at three different positions within vehicle hitch receivers. This adjustability provides the extra extension sometimes needed in step applications with hitch receivers that are mounted too close to the chassis of vehicles for the step to clear the edge of bumpers. Adjustability is also handy to gain more leverage from the step as needed in varied applications. The 460PS also ships with a plastic shim style, anti-rattle device that slips between the hitch section of the step and the vehicle's hitch receiver to minimize possible metal-on-metal noise during transit. These include a polished stainless steel oval steel step tube and standard squared hitch sections connected by heavy-duty welds, an integrated rubberized top step pad, and plastic-capped end pieces. The step's oval shape features a level surface with sloping edges. The rubberized step pad integrated into this has treaded segments surrounding the attractive Go Rhino! logo that together ensure secure footing in all conditions. The exposed stainless steel exterior of the step and hitch sections provide protection from the elements, and can be polished up to a like-new appearance even after years of use. The plastic-capped sides of the step minimizes sharp edges and potential damage should it come into with an object while the vehicle is moving. Standard tool-free hitch pin installation makes it both easy to remove for storage when the user is away, or to secure to the hitch receiver semi-permanently with a standard hitch lock (sold separately).
