The Mitutoyo standard dial tension gauge measures the contact force of an instrument and a workpiece and of components such as electrical relays, micro-switches, valves, and precision springs. This analog gauge shows measurements in Newtons (N) and can display the present force measured in real time. It has a measurement accuracy of + or - 0.5 graduation. The fulcrum has an anti-friction bearing that helps improve measurement accuracy. The meter's body measures 1.85 x 2.17 x 0.75 inches (47 x 55 x 19 mm, H x W x D, where H is height, the vertical distance from lowest to highest point; W is the width, the horizontal distance from left to right; and D is depth, the horizontal distance from front to back) and can be held in one hand during use.Force gauges, also called push-pull gauges or tension gauges, measure the tensile (pull) or compression (push) force applied to an object.
