The E620 metric machine tap is a specialist tap designed to create threads to suit Helicoil inserts. The straight flute design gives you the versatility of threading both through and blind holes whilst the bright finish ensures a clean and accurate thread by stopping workpiece material from sticking to the cutting edge of the tool. The E620 tap is made from powder metal High Speed cobalt which will give better performance and longer tool life. Manufactured to conform to the International Standardization Organization, the E610 can be used to creating threads to suit Helicoil inserts in many materials incl. aluminium, stainless steels and steels.
