Pro-Graad TwistFlex Cylinder Honing & Deburring Tools are manufactured oversized - ORDER BY THE BORE SIZE. The brush will be approximately ten percent oversized, but will easily conform and fit into the bore size diameter due to the flexibility of the flex honing tool stems. Surface finishing of the Pro-Graad TwistFlex Cylinder Honing & Deburring Tool allows for a proper ring, seal, and oil control. Pro-Graad TwistFlex Cylinder Honing & Deburring Tools produce a consistent cross-hatching pattern which is ideal to seat piston rings and retain oil for lubrication in combustion chambers. The Pro-Graad TwistFlex Cylinder Honing & Deburring Tool can be run with hand tools, drill press, or CNC equipment. Apply a lubricant liberally to the TwistFlex Cylinder Honing & Deburring Tool such as a honing tool lubricant, 10-30 weight motor oil, or transmission fluid prior to using honing tool brush. Max RPM is 500, however optimum range is 300 - 400 RPM. Tip: If producing cross-hatching pattern, less is best - maximum of two passes should be done with brush within 20-45 seconds of total run time, averaging between 10-55 strokes.
