In this pure manual work, marble surface is chipped with chipping tools and same size of Semi-Precious stone are placed it with super-glue. This work was originated from Italy in 13-14th Century and is used in making world famous Agra’s Taj Mahal main dome extensively. The Semi-Precious Stones/gems are used in this work are CORNELIAN, JASPER, TURQUOISE(firoza), LAPIS LAZULI(lajverd), MALACHITE, etc This art work is called 'Pietra Dura' and have been used in Tajmahal's walls. This art was invented in Italy and is being done only in Agra, India. Types of the Stones and History of this art has been given down below for your reference. Bring home a piece of the Taj Mahal.
