This elegant brooch with a rope twist edge features a stunning oval shaped cabochon of the finest Whitby Jet stone, sourced directly from the north east coast of Yorkshire. The beautiful sterling silver brooch is inspired by Whitby's fishing heritage. There is even a street in Whitby called 'The Ropery' which is lined with tall buildings originally used to make long pieces of rope for the ship-building industry. The brooch fastens with a horizontal bar pin.
