You're bidding on a true piece of baseball history. This promotional ad was carefully removed (great condition) from a 1928 Baseball Magazine. It measures about 4" by 10" as it covered a half page. The ad is a promotion for purchase of a sepia tone poster of the legendary NY Yankees team. The photo was taken just after the Yanks won the World Series capping off the best team in history! Baseball Magazine released the team photo as part of their subscription chaser campaign in 1928. The back of the promo is also pictured detailing another subscription promo for Baseball Magazine. This promotion is 100% original to 1928.
The 1927 New York Yankees season was their 25th season. The team finished with a record of 110–44, winning their fifth pennant and finishing 19 games ahead of the Philadelphia Athletics and were tied for first or better for the whole season.
