This is an exquisite, brilliantly colored wool rug in excellent condition.
We purchased this stunning rug in Mexico on our 1973 trip.
This one of a kind Mexican vintage wool area rug features natural wool depicting a Mayan - Aztec God holding a "cup of flames" in his hand.
He is wearing a necklace, an earring, and a headress. The colors are magnificent.
He is surrounded by a unique abstract pattern and beautifully colored stripes.
The fringe is 1" long.
It is fabulously constructed with a woven seam down the middle.
This piece is so gorgeous, it truly could be a wall hanging vs an area rug.
