This pair of stunning antique porcelain lamps looks hand painted and gilded with gold. The design on each lamp is different. I assume no two were ever alike. They have minimal wear but are in excellent shape after almost 100 years. These lamps work fine but you you may want to replace the old cord just to be safe. One of these lamps leans a bit to one side and looks like it was made like that to me.
It's rare to find such stunning lamps with their original drum shades. The shades do have the original brass and ivory or bakelite finials that go on the top. The Ivory-like finials by themselves would cost about $65.00 each ($130/pr.) at a specialty lamp shop. One shade has a couple of small dents on one side but the shades have no other rips, tears or damage.
The dimensions on both lamps are a bit different. The bases are 4- 5" wide. They're both about 28" tall with the shades. The shades are 13 & 14" wide and about that in height. Very good to excellent pre-owned condition overall.
