Shoes are sealed for protection and everyday wear. Can be worn in rain but not completely submerged in water (as in washing machine) they are sealed on outside, not on the inside.

I test all of my products I use by making myself and family members shoes before selling them. I/we have been wearing similar pairs for years now with no issues other than the normal wear you would expect from any other shoe.
