Vintage Max Hindt Stoneware Walrus Figurine
This walrus is more than just cute, it's a piece of history! It's was created by Max Hindt, a well known artist of the hippie counter culture that existed around San Francisco and Big Sur in the 1960s/70’s HIndt sold his clay figurines at outdoor fairs around that area when it was thronged with flower children and war protestors. This Walrus figurine has lots of character and was created from heavy stoneware. There is a tiny flea bite on one eyebrow. Signed on back.
