Belleck Pottery, known for quality and fine pattern detail, has been in business for more than 150 years. The namesake Glen Veigh, Gaelic for 'Valley of Birch', is an enchanting castle in County Donegal. The cream colored porcelain body of the clock has a curved top with an embossed grape cluster and vines on the face, embossed columns of either side of the clock; at the bottom is the iconic hand-painted green shamrocks on embossed basket weave with a rope detail at the base. Hand-painted gilt details the top and base of the clock body. This lovely mantle clock would fit into any room of your home.
Estate piece was cabinet kept and in very good condition with no chips, damage or repairs. The tested analog clock runs with 'N' battery (NOT included due to shipping hazard). The signature Belleek Green Mark C.2001-07 is stamped on the lower back. Green felt on underside. Measures approx. 7.5" H, 5.25" W at the base and 3" D.
