Beautiful large statement brooch. This brooch dates to the 1930’s and features had wrought scroll work and a bezel set cabochon green calcite stone. It weighs 32.47g. The back is solid silver is marked “Made in Mexico”, which was typical for a tourist piece from the early 20c. The pin stem is bent. The clasp is a basic C clasp and the hinge is also basic. This piece is in good condition. The pin stem is bent. There is almost no tension between the pin & the clasp and the stone is secure but if heavily manipulated, it’s a little loose. With minor repairs/adjustments of the hinge, I believe this brooch is 100% wearable. I used a polishing cloth to highlight the high spots on the front of the piece. Smoke free home. Thanks!
