Just say no to straps! Although strap-in bindings dominate the market these days, you can't beat a step-in for convenience. I could never understand why they went away.
There are plenty of good reasons to give these a try for such short change. Maybe you have visitors who can't quite keep up with you on skis, so you take it down a notch and get on the board. Maybe you have little kids who want to learn to board and you're going to be on the blue groomers anyway.
