Pair of vintage Chinese hand-carved rosewood (or mahogany) mask-style wall hangings. These are dense, substantial pieces weighing about 1 lb 8 oz each. The carving is nicely done and they are very detailed. They both have inlaid eyes and teeth, but I'm not sure what material it is. Probably glass, shell or ceramic.
Approximately 10.75" long & 5.25" wide each.
One of the masks has its original stickers: "Made in Hong Kong #7744"
In very good vintage condition with typical signs of age and gentle handling. Please see pictures.
