A vintage Japanese lithophane cup & saucer set that measures 2.5” high by 4.5” in saucer diameter. After the coffee or tea is completely finished up, one holds the cup to the light to see the image of a glamorous Japanese Geisha at the bottom of the cup. A landscape scene with a pagoda and Mount Fuji in the background. 1930s (?) and the condition is very good with no chips, cracks or repairs.
