Anjiang Fragrant pomelo is renowned for its soft flesh, abundant juice, and sweet taste. The fruits are large and have a long shelf life, typically weighing between 1 to 1.5 kilograms, with larger ones reaching up to 2.5 to 3.5 kilograms. The fruit is elliptical, resembling a snow pear or gourd, with mostly yellow-green skin that emits a strong fragrance.
The skin is thin and easy to peel, and the fruit has abundant flesh with few seeds. The flesh is white, with large, long segments that are kidney-shaped, numbering between 11 and 15 segments. The segments contain sweet, crystalline particles that are pale yellow and as clear as jade. The juice is crisp and tender, sweet with a slight acidity, and it is known for its refreshing and cooling properties, making it the finest among pomelos.
